(English) Tips on Brochures, Flyers and Graphic Design Layouts for Freelancer

Disculpa, pero esta entrada está disponible sólo en Inglés Estadounidense. For the sake of viewer convenience, the content is shown below in the alternative language. You may click the link to switch the active language.

Hi, my name’s Russell Pearson, I’m here to talk about brochure design. So, when you’re designing a brochure it really could be designed in any way and literally anyone could do it. But at the end of the day, you’ll actually have one that looks quite professional and then one looks quite amateur depending on whether a professional graphic designer has done it or whether someone’s just done it on a desktop publishing machine at home.

Now the interesting thing about this is that the general public won’t be able to spot the differences between them, but what they will spot is that they perceive one to be better than the other now they’re, not sure why they can’t actually articulate what are the reasons That one is better than the other, but they do notice that one is better than the other, and that comes down to a couple of different things. The three in particular number one is margins. Its one of the biggest things that either new graphic designers or someone design is something from home they miss out on.

So this could just be something as simple as actually leaving enough space around the outside of a design so that you don’t but something right up to the corner, especially when you’re getting something printed cheaply. You’Ll actually notice that a lot of the times that the paper will actually be cut on a slight angle or something like that, and if you have a text butted right up to the edge of it, it’s a lot easier to see those issues that happen. So one of the one of the tricks the professionals do is they give himself a margin of error by actually increasing some of those margins?

Other margin issues are actually around white space, allowing negative space allowing enough space around an object so that actually can have a bit of weight actually sit on its own, which leads me onto number two, which is a hierarchy to hierarchy and a design is the order that You want to take people through a piece, so you don’t want people just to look at a design and just perceive it. As is you wanted to actually start there? I at one part of it and actually move through the piece till they get to the end, and hopefully the end is something that actually sets them up to make some sort of decision.

Whether that call to action is to buy something now or to call a number or visit a website whatever it might be, you actually lead them through a process to actually get to there, which means beyond number three. So the big thing that most image designers will actually make the mistake of is starting to design something for design’s sake. So the big key, when you’re, actually designing any brochure layout flyer, whatever it might be, is to be 100 % clear about what it is that you’re actually trying to achieve. So when you’re designing the brochure, what is the outcome we actually want to achieve? By doing this, while we’re doing it in the first place, are we trying to sell something and we’re trying to inform somebody?

Are we trying to get someone to take an action to do something whatever it might be? We need to decide that upfront so that we can actually make the decisions on not only the content like the the text and the images, but also on the colors that we might use. How do we want people to feel when they’re actually looking at this piece? How are we actually going to move through people through the hierarchy of this piece so that when they actually start, we can start them at one place, which means — might be. I have a problem that needs to be solved and we can actually lose them through. A decision-making process, so they get to the end and they’re actually ready to make a decision.

Theres a lot more on that sort of thing, and I’m only just really touching the surface on it. But when it comes to layouts, there are a couple of things to remember, and that is one make sure you include margins make sure those margins are even make sure you allow enough space around an object so that it can actually hold its own space and actually Not be cluttered in with other things, to make sure you’ve got hierarchy to this. What is the most important thing?

What’re the second most important thing, and how do we lead them through the piece till they get to a decision and number three making sure that we actually know why we’re doing the piece in the first place? So we can know a what we need to put on to the brochure so that actually can get the viewer to make a decision at the end or take action at the end, but also when we’ve actually done it. If an especially, if it’s a commercial piece like something for a business or for a sales purpose, did it work so once this thing goes out into the wild and we actually get feedback on, you know were sales increased? Did we get more people to visit the website? Did we get more people to call a number? We can actually decide whether the design itself work, because at the end of the day, it’s not about pretty pictures. It’s about actually making a brochure work for you, which is the person purpose of investing the time and money into it in the first place. So these are just a few little tips on brochures, Flyers and layouts in general. I hope you found that helpful.

(English) Major differences between android app developments vs. Flutter app development

In this rapidly evolving world filled with technological adaptability, people operate different gadgets and devices.

They use Smartphone, I- phones and tablets for their daily requirements. Cross-platform applications have become a very trendy business agenda for small businesses and start-ups.

What is a cross-platform app? A cross-platform application is compatible with multiple systems and can be accessed by any device.

The native android app development is platform-specific and is limited to one device. The android app development company develops the mobile Application, which is platform-specific, while flutter frameworks develop cross-platform applications.

Those were in the past days, only businesses with cumbersome budgets chose to develop both business websites and mobile apps.

With the rapid technology and changing market, and increasing competition, it has become very daunting for all-level enterprises and small start-ups to survive in the competitive market without having mobile apps for their business.

In the era of 2020, start-ups have various options of app development to choose from. Android native development has always been common and majorly used, but flutter app development breaks all bars. Check out android vs. flutter app development.

What is flutter app development?

Flutter app development develops cross-platform apps. Flutter is a widely used open-source Software Development Kit launched by Google to develop a robust, scalable, dynamic, and performing mobile app for multiple operating systems by using just one codebase.

Flutter is a complete UI kit that allows all the developers to develop applications with the best typography, icons, codes, and scrolling.

Flutter language is easy to use and operate. It is operated with languages like Java and JavaScript, so any developer knowing java can easily work.

With any level of expertise and experience, the developers can use flutter to develop apps. Even the non-programmers have developed flawless flutter apps for businesses.

What is android app development?

Android app development is the traditional and native app development. Native mobile apps only run on android mobile phones and not in the web browser.

You need to download them from any platform-specific app stores such as Apple’s App Store and Google Play.

Once the installation is done, you can access the app by clicking on its specific icon on your device. Android native development requires skills in programming language and technologies than mobile website development.

You don’t need to get stressed about the compatibility and nature of the browser. You can use the native features of mobile apps to deliver the user experience and implement the functionality.

The android app development company assists you in developing your platform-specific Android app.

Why do Do start-ups consider flutter over native android app development?

  1. Hot reload= fast coding:

Puffer app development is very fast and effective. It is easy and does not include complexity for development. It is one of the biggest advantages felt by every android app development company.

Developers can easily make changes in the code base, and you can immediately view it in the Application. The hot Reload options store changes within seconds.

  1. One code, two platforms:

With just one code base, the app can be developed in both operating systems like Ios and Android. A single code is Applicable to develop Applications for mobile platforms as well, like web browsers.

  1. Faster apps:

The apps are very quick and run smoothly. They do not hang or buffer for long. Flutter UI is very smooth, and scrolling is not at all experienced.

  1. Minimum programming:

Development of apps needs experience in java and JavaScript. Non-programmers have also successfully developed flutter apps for businesses.

It is very convenient for developers to develop apps using flutter language.

  1. Custom design:

Flutter app development does not rely on native system components. They have their custom design widgets.

With the help of advanced UI and GUI, flutter apps are very innovative and user-friendly.

Challenge faced by native app development, Native android app development is platform-specific and is only applicable for Android smartphones.

They are only used for one specific device and do not support cross-platform support. Companies very commonly use native android app

Development but are you sure it is the right one for your company. Check the challenges faced by the Android app Development Company in developing native android Applications.

  1. Platform-specific:

The native apps are platform-specific. They only run on one specific device and do not support a cross-platform.

It only works for one single operating system. They are not available for Application in web browsers. Beginners use android Java SDK to develop android apps.

  1. Time-consuming:

Native app development is not at all quick, rather very slow and time-consuming. Slow downloading, as you have first to download and then use.

This involves many complicated and lengthy steps, which is not entertained in this first pacing world.

  1. Traditional design:

Native apps depend upon native system components. They do not have the option of customer design widgets.

The apps are old and do not include any latest widgets or customized graphical interfaces.

  1. Frequent updates:

A bug can be fixed in native apps or when a new update needs to be launched; the developers have to submit the new updates to the app store and hope that the users will update the apps to the new updated version.

  1. Expensive:

The programming used in the native apps is complex, and there are very few developers in the market who code in this language.

Native app development requires much more labor, which adds to the cost and development time. Flutter the app, the next future app development Native app development shines for many, but not all.

The trend is shifting from native to cross-platform applications. Flutter is a cross-platform app development framework successfully developing robust apps for growing start-ups.

The android app development companies are shifting their work area as native app development is losing its pace.

Due to its all-around features, it is the most widely used framework for cross-platform app development. Leasing enterprises are successfully using flutter to develop their applications. Flutter the baby of Google, and you can’t deny its potential.

(English) How To Get Clients As A Freelancer

Disculpa, pero esta entrada está disponible sólo en Inglés Estadounidense. For the sake of viewer convenience, the content is shown below in the alternative language. You may click the link to switch the active language.

A freelancer is an independent worker, a self-employed professional that works for basically whomever he or she wants. They have full freedom and control over their activity. They set their own prices, they can fire clients whenever they want and they can choose to work where and whenever they want (. Depending on what service you offer, of course, ). When you are a freelancer, you are your own boss and you can become one with almost any skill that can be offered independently. This skill might be video making writing copywriting counselling, video editing, voice-over coding, social media management and much more First. You obviously need to have your skills in place, So, no matter what you want to offer, you must know how to offer that service.

However, if you fake that you do have a skill which you actually dont, you still might find a few clients, but they will give you bad reviews and your new image and reputation as a freelancer will be destroyed. And thus your career will be disappointingly over. In order to find clients, you need to obsessively work on developing your skills to the point where you are 100 %, confident that you can bring value to the marketplace As soon as you do. Youre ready to start looking for clients and in this video Im going to show you exactly how to find clients on platforms like Fiverr, Upwork, Freelancer or any other freelancing platform like udyamjob.

Now lets continue What Is A Freelancing Platform. A freelancing platform is nothing more than a website that bridges freelancers with people who need their services To better explain this to you heres Robert Robert is a video editor hes 18 years old Robert has been editing videos and making short films for the past few years, But now hes ready to start offering his editing skills to the marketplace and make some money Robert isnt, really extroverted. In fact, hes rather introverted. He doesnt like calling businesses talking over the phone or having stressful fate-to-face meetings.

However, thats not a problem here, because he can find clients in a much more effective way. So he starts by creating an account on one of the freelancing websites. ( lets say udyamjob, for example, ) After having registered, he goes to the find work tab and he finds a bunch of posts of people. Looking for someone like him, It is literally like his Instagram or Facebook feed, but there are no cat videos. Those are all businesses and individuals looking for someone to help them with their editing. Robert can send proposals to any of those posts telling potential clients why hes a great fit for the job. He can talk about his experience and his past projects and basically just sell himself as the best option If they think that he is a good fit for the job. They will hire him and pay him through the freelancing platform And heres how to Get Clients. So now you know how a freelancing platform works and how you are supposed to find your first client but heres. The thing

You will probably start by sending a large number of proposals to a lot of jobs, in the hope that someone will give you an opportunity, But before you do that, I want you to understand something. Nobody trusts you And why should they? You have no track record on the freelancing website. You have no positive or negative feedback. You have nothing Its very hard to get a client. For this specific reason you have no credibility. So the question now is: how do you build that credibility In order to become successful on freelancing platforms like Upwork or Fiverr, or any other freelancing platform? You need to sacrifice a little, especially in the beginning. Your priority or lets call it mission is simple, Get Positive Reviews As soon as you start looking for clients, and hopefully you do land some. Your first goal is to get great reviews.

These great reviews will be the feedback that will help you find new clients. Itll be a little credibility point added to your profile and image. You need that in order to find future clients so heres. What I want you to do When you get your first client dont just do what they ask for you have to over-deliver and even give them a discount. This client has to love you so much that they have no choice than to giving you a 5-star review with compliments all over it In order to make sure that you get that feedback and over deliver for nothing literally ask for it. You could say something like Since Im new on Upwork and Im looking to get clients heres a special offer In exchange for a positive review ( if well deserved, ) Im going to give you a discount on our first project and boom. You got yourself a happy client, But thats, not it In order to craft a decent proposal that grabs their attention. You need to do more than that.

How To Write A Winning Proposal, Put yourself in their position. You are looking for a video editor. You post the job post and immediately dozens of freelancers send proposals to convince you to work with them. This is overwhelming and they are reading through a bunch of Hi. My name is this, and I can do this: A B C D, blah … blah blah …. You get the point You see in a sea of proposals that look the same. You have to somehow stand out Instead of creating a generic boring introduction craft. Something interesting. Maybe even entertaining and offer more than just quote: on quote: why Im a good editor, We actually made a video on how to sell anything to anyone. So if you want more details on that check the description for the link, However heres a brief summary

First of all, dont make it all about you. If the client described the job properly, you will get the chance to tell them how you intend to get it done. Tell them what are the best tips and tricks that you will use and how your service is better than your competitors. In the case of the video editor, you might tell them what software you use and what technique you apply in order to achieve high-quality, color, correction and grading. Tell them why your audio is always crystal clear and how you can make his audio decent too, without the need of an extremely expensive microphone. Secondly, remember to stay relevant. If you copy-paste proposals here and there you will fail. This is because you wont be listing relevant points that will help them in their specific situation, So offer as much value as you can choose well-described jobs in order to personalize your proposals and tell them what type of person you are. But a winning proposal is still not enough. You need that credibility and you can use your profile to enhance it.

Crafting A Winning Profile, So the client will read your proposal and theyll say interesting, but let me check their profile And thats where you need to be flawless, Since you have no reviews. All the rest needs to be on point from the profile picture to your bio. The picture needs to be professional, but dont overdo it or youll appear like a pushy try-hard. Keep it simple. A nice picture of you smiling should be enough. This is the image the clients will have of you and its important that they can clearly see your face. This way, they wont only associate you to some words on a screen, but to an actual human being and that helps build a strong professional relationship.

When talking about yourself use the same philosophy that youd use for the proposal, Dont just talk about yourself and how good you are actually describe your experience and how you can help clients, Keep it alive and entertaining Also make your portfolio so full of content that they Will struggle to go over all of it? This will prove that, even though you dont have experience on that website, or even with clients in real life, you do have the skills to get the job done. Heres a mistake: I see a lot of people make when theyre just getting started.

In order to get more clients, they think that its a good idea to tell people that you can offer almost anything That is wrong. Instead of appearing as a jack of all trades but master of none, you have to specialize in a very specific field. This may seem counterintuitive, but it will give you more clients than if you tried to reach everyone Theres one principle that is widely used in sales. Its called aim narrow, reach wide. You have to aim for a very specific audience and then reach as many as you can from that category. This will also make you appear as the perfect person for the job.

Let me give you an example: So youre a video maker, but not just a video maker, you create and edit footage specifically for restaurants, Heres Josh and hes the owner of a pretty successful Italian cuisine, restaurant Hes. Looking for someone to create a b-roll sequence for his business and hes presented two options: He can either choose you a specialized restaurant filmmaker or any filmmaker. That does any footage whatsoever, Guess who he is going to choose Comment below the answer: How Upwork Works So up to now, Ive talked to you about how, generally speaking, freelancing works, But In order to give you more perspective on the business model of freelancing websites, I Am going to describe to you the business model of Upwork In order to make money, Upwork charges freelancers a 20 % fee for every completed project? This means that if you are given a project for $ 100, you are actually going to receive $ 80, since 20 % goes to Upwork. This might seem like a lot ( and it is ) but thats not the only way. Upwork stays profitable.

This isnt too much its acceptable, but it will be a problem at the beginning, since youre basically going to send proposals to a lot of people And in the case you deplete your connects, you have to buy more. This is very good for clients, since freelancers are forced to only send proposals to jobs that are really worth it and that they actually have the skills for it.

It stops spam and thats why Upwork is so powerful. There are many websites that do this, but Upwork is particularly good if you want to be protected and find high-quality clients, both short and long term And thats it for the video. As you can see, it isnt that hard, but you do have to work hard to get your first clients From there. You can start setting your own prices, get big and more important clients and work on awesome projects. Until then, youll have to learn from every mistake and always aim to improve your proposals. Your profile, your portfolio and more. If you enjoyed this video dont forget to hit that like button Were actually developing awesome content that will help you make more money and improve yourself faster

(English) How to Hire a Freelancer: 5 Things You Need to Know

Disculpa, pero esta entrada está disponible sólo en Inglés Estadounidense. For the sake of viewer convenience, the content is shown below in the alternative language. You may click the link to switch the active language.

Sometimes good help is just hard to find hey everybody. This is Roberto blake of robertoblake.com, helping you create something awesome today. So today I’ve got some advice for those of you who are looking to hire a freelancer, whether you’re trying to hire a freelance graphic designer, a freelance video editor of freelance.

Whatever you happen to need today we’re going to cover five things that you need to know when hiring a freelancer, and I think this is gon na be helpful for the far majority of you, especially if you are dabbling in something or you’re running a small business. I’M also going to give just a little bit of advice for freelancers out there, who should have an understanding of what a client might need and should be looking for.

I’M not be covering a couple of important things in this video I’m going to cover how to find a freelancer in the first place, how to choose one, how to work with them, how much to pay them and also how to make sure that you’re getting what You paid for so you’ll definitely want to stay tuned and take a few notes during the video one of the things.

A lot of people tell me that they struggle with is that they can’t find a freelancer in the first place and there’s a couple of different ways. You can go about it. One of the ways that I strongly recommend is that you get a referral from a trusted friend, business partner or somebody that’s already in your network. If somebody in your network has already used a freelancer for their services, then it’s probably going to be one of the best relationships you can have.

So, that’s probably where you need to start asking a friend, a family member or somebody that you look up to or that you know who’s hired for this kind of thing before. If you don’t have anyone in your network or you don’t have anyone that you trust that you can ask for a referral, then maybe just maybe you go and you look at a freelancing website, I’m going to recommend two here.

There are some people who are freelancers, who are not going to like these recommendations, but the thing is going to be an answer for everyone. I have had great experiences with up work and I’m planning to do you know. Videos actually is a review of my experience on that, and I’m also getting ready to run a few experiences in 99designs so that I can show you guys what my experience of that has been now a lot of my friends who are authors, public speakers and have Hired out for other things have used both of these services.

I’Ve used up work, I’ve also hired freelancers directly in my network. So those are things I’m very comfortable talking about I’m going to link to both up work and 99designs in the description for you, but you can use these online marketplaces to find people and contract them for services, and it makes this whole process a lot easier. If you don’t know where to start or how any of this works, so I would recommend that.

Ideally, I would prefer that you have a personal one-on-one relationship with somebody that you want to hire, but that’s not always going to be a practical answer or an answer that gets things done quickly enough for you. So there needs to be a solution for everyone. The one thing I’m going to caution you on is not to be tempted to go to Fiverr.

Do not do it. I understand that there are people about great experiences with it. If you want to play Russian roulette, I’m not going to be held responsible for what happens to you. You have been warned with those options in mind. How do you choose a freelancer to work with in the first place? Well, there are a couple of things that I personally look for when I’m hiring anyone I obviously look at their portfolio and their body work for whatever it is about hiring for, but I also try to get a sense of their personality if I am able to Call them and interview them via Skype or via phone or meet them in person, that’s easier to get sent to their personality, if not after a lie on that through their work, possibly by looking them it’s up in social media and have to decide if they’re comfortable Fit for me, a lot of you think that the work is the work, and I understand that, but to be honest relationships matter, a lot and being able to be aligned being able to communicate well with somebody is going to be the make-or-break point between whether you Get the most out of them for your money or not so, personality is at least as far as I’m concerned a huge priority in some cases, more than their portfolio and body of work again, they’re going to be professionals out there who disagree with me on this They’Re going to be business owners who disagree with me on this.

This is just what my experience has taught me whenever I’ve hired by prioritizing personality, I’ve never regretted it. When I’ve been very impressed with someone’s work and then they’ve been a pain in the butt to work with it’s, because I overemphasize the quality of their work versus their personality and how they communicate and how they behave. Finally, I also look at the presentation. I look at the way that someone represents them before deciding to put my brand in their hand, so I take a hard look at that again. This one is a take-it-or-leave-it. You have to decide what you’re most comfortable with now with regard to some other practical considerations and hiring.

You also can and should look at their depth of experience, whether that’s the volume of their body of work or their years of experience or specific skills that you would prefer that they have or whether or not they’ve served a key target market. Too often, people look at impressive work and they’ll look at whether or not the work that someone has done aligns with their industry or what they would need, or the style that they prefer to have things done in, and that could make a difference. Also. I look for people who have compatible workflows with mine. The thing is that I ultimately do a lot of in-house work myself for my business.

I also work with people all over the country, if not over the world, and we have to be on the same page and in my case what that means is we’re using Adobe software across the board. So, if you have software compatibility issues, if there’s a reason where you guys are using all Mac software, for example, let’s say that your workflow is something that’s very Mac specific. Lets see, you’re using ScreenFlow or you’re using Final Cut Pro. If you hire a video editor, they need to be on Final Cut Pro or ScreenFlow or whatever you’re. Using a lot of people who are creatives will argue that no no no it’s about the results. It doesn’t matter what tools you use from a business standpoint. We know better, we know that workflows, matter systems, matter, system, scale, businesses and that’s the difference between someone who might be a business owner or have an agency versus somebody who’s. Just a freelancer is a hired gun.

They can work with whatever they prefer and whatever is best for them. The problem is that if we have to hire them, they have to conform to our constraints. Much in the same way that if we hired an employee and they’ve worked in the office, they would have to use the tools that we provide them in most cases. So, as a business owner as an employer. I prioritize people who use the systems and workflows that I’m accustomed to and that all my other vendors use and that my in-house people are going to be using. So that’s something you might need to look at whether that means that people need to be using specific software or operating systems or hardware. You need to look at that for those who are creatives, you need to understand that if you were a professional photographer and you hire a second shooter, most people who hire a second shooter as a photographer is going to hire someone who’s using the exact same camera System as them why they can swap out accessories batteries and lenses very easily, and they can explain things to each other and be on the same page very rapidly.

You might like to shoot Canon, I’m shooting Panasonic. I don’t have lenses that are compatible with yours, or I would have to invest in a speed booster to be able to swap out and use your lenses, and it doesn’t mean that they’ll produce the same results, etc, etc. Is the same thing with file compatibilities and systems, so I understand where you’re coming from you want to be valued on your work, only and not your tools, but their business owners who that’s not going to work out, for I happen to be one of them. Lets talk a little bit about how to work with a freelancer, once you’ve decided whether you hire someone through a referral or that you reach out directly or maybe even took out an ad and hired somebody. You have to figure out what the working relationship is going to be like you have to figure out how you’re going to communicate with them.

So you have to know, is it going to be via email that change requests are made and that you are communicating with them or is it going to be via phone calls? Is it going to be via Skype meetings? Are you going to be using slack or using a project management system? This has to be clear and you have to have a consistent form of communication and you need to be able to reach each other. One of the reasons I don’t like certain websites, five or being examples, is I don’t like situations where I don’t feel like I own the relationship with my vendor with my freelancer with my service provider. I like that sense of control.

A lack of control creates anxiety for me, especially when it comes to getting work done, and so I need that in order to feel comfortable, which is like why I love to hire directly more often than not, rather than using a website or a service or a Platform where I don’t have that now with regard to communication and things like that, I feel that up work does a pretty decent job of allowing you that they are not sponsoring this video. I’M just saying that that’s what my experience has been using that particular platform. So, that’s why I recommend up work and 99designs over something like Fiverr. Thats one of many reasons um, but you just have to keep that in mind in general.

You need to go ahead and have that agreement in place of this is how we’re going to communicate. This is how we’re capable or allowed to communicate, and then you need to make sure that all communication is clear. You as a client need to set clear expectations for your designer from Jump Street, or it’s going to be a problem. You need to also make sure that you understand what it is that they’re going to be providing to you and that you ask appropriate questions. If you don’t know, then ask you: are the employer, don’t worry about being embarrassed?

Clarity is the most important thing. Don’T worry about how you’re going to look or be perceived. I guarantee you that they’re, not judging you and even if they are, they want to get the work done for you and they want to deliver because that’s the only way they’re going to get paid. So don’t worry about the embarrassment just be clear. We can get paid. Lets talk about that. Typically in a given situation, when you’re working with a freelancer you’re going to either have service fees, flat rates or hourly rates, there is a temptation by many people who hire freelancers to get the cheapest hourly rate possible.

I prefer to pay in flat fees for a project. This might require you as someone hiring to do your research as far as what something cost. If you don’t know what something cost and you don’t know, what’s appropriate, ask somebody find a person in social media who provides that service reaches out to them DM them whatever, and ask how much they would charge for something like that and then start to figure out Whether that’s in your budget and then negotiate with your freelancer or you can just ask your freelancer what their rates and what their fees are. You can just ask and then you can haggle if you want to one way or the other. I prefer to do this. I prefer to set a fixed budget for what it is. I know I am going to spend both in a maximum and then I set myself an ideal range of what I would like to get as far as a deal or what I would like to save.

But I set myself a minimum and a maximum, and then I usually do my own research to understand and what the pricing that is reasonable and what is the average and so on and so forth and I get some quotes and then I’ll ask the freelancer. What is it that they feel comfortable to charge and then I’m able to make a decision from there? I usually find that you get better pricing when you do this. I also feel that when you let the freelancer tell you what they’re valuing their work at you get a more honest communication.

You have a much better relationship because they don’t feel like they’re getting screwed, they feel like they ask for something, and then you either said. Yes, to it, or you act more detail what you might be getting for, that you can negotiate, maybe not on the price, but on value rather than trying to talk the freelancer down in price, I would say: well, if I pull back these requests, could we Get this closer to this number, because that’s what my budget is. So if I make it a little easier on you and you don’t have to do nearly as much work, can you work out a better deal for me. I would use that language and I would go that route if you want more things, which is usually direction I go, is I actually usually end up asking for more rather than less, and then I just increase the price accordingly in terms of what I feel comfortable And ask them if that’s alright or if that’s what they’re comfortable and here’s another tip that I use.

If I have something that the other person may value or may want, I put it on the table to say: hey. Is this something you’re interested in? I let them say yes or no, and then I ask them if they’d like to make a consideration in terms of either adjusting the price in exchange for a service of mine or a product of mine and do some bartering there. I put it on the table as an option. I don’t usually lead with that. I let people tell me what they’re comfortable with. Sometimes people come to me and want exactly that scenario or it’s something that they think about, because there are things that I do have to offer them. So you have to be aware of that. Be careful with this as well. Don’T offer exposure per se, but if you actually really do have leverage or you want to offer something in terms of saying well, I have more business to do with you. I’M going to be doing bulk orders or ordering your services from you at a high volume, or I have a network that can introduce you to in terms of referrals or I have a large email list. Would you like to have some type access to it?

These are things that you can discuss if the freelancer isn’t open to them: they’re not open to them, but just be upfront and have a position of integrity and value when you’re negotiating prices and fees. Something else that I consider is, I avoid hourly rates whenever possible. At all cost, I don’t think, there’s really an incentive when it comes to hourly rates, if you’re, if you’re painting my house and you’re charging by the hour, you have every incentive to take six months. If I need something done timely, I don’t go in an hourly rate. I pay out right because it gives you every incentive to get it done, get paid and move to the next job. With regard to those payments, you can, if you’re using a platform the payment is held in escrow, and then you have to review and approve everything before the payments released.

If you’re doing this on your own working with a freelancer, maybe ask if payments can be made in terms of installments based on stages of work that are completed and reviewed and approved by you as the client, or do something like a deposit, one-third or half up Front and then the rest incrementally figure out what you’re comfortable with and, if possible, try to either have a general agreement, a contract or an invoice in place from the freelancer to just have some paperwork behind this transaction. In terms of how to make payments, PayPal, stripe and venmo are great payment systems. I highly recommend those and those are great ways to work with freelancers.

Typically, if you’re using an online platform, it is compatible with those things PayPal being the most widely used of all right now. Finally, let’s talk about how to make sure you’re getting what you paid for. Ultimately, you should put some kind of review process for approval in place for final payment, and it should be clear how many revisions you are allowed, as the client does not make the assumption of assuming you have unlimited revisions or that you’re entitled to that. This is someone’s time and livelihood, so just try to do a fair deal and be honest and upfront about what your expectations are. What you need, what deadlines are?

I would also make sure that, when you’re working with freelancers give them soft deadlines, if something is due on Friday, don’t tell them it’s due on Friday, ask for it by Tuesday or Wednesday to give yourself room for flexibility like just give yourself that for in the Worst case scenario, because there’s a lot that you don’t control in this situation and you don’t want to be left holding a bag, you don’t want to be an uncomfortable situation for you. You also don’t want to put your freelancer under the gun.

So you know just give some slack where it’s needed to get a deposit in place and then holding the remainder of the money until the project is completed. Is the best-case scenario in terms of making sure you’re getting what you’re paying for in terms of getting the final files? You know you can do that at roughly the same time or same day as far as a transaction. I think that that’s usually fine just make sure that clear communication is being had by you know you and your freelancer. If you want to make sure that you’re both getting what you’re paying for no one likes to have a bad referral or bad reference, no one likes a bad testimonial. Everyone wants to feel that they’ve been treated fairly, so just make sure that you’re operating accordingly and that you’re making it easy for them and for you so clients out there.

I hope this helps. You understand how to hire a freelancer and tells you some things that maybe you needed to know if you’re out there in your freelancer. Maybe this gives you a better insight into the way that a good client should deal with you, how you should be treated, and also maybe you understand what a client might be looking for a little better I’d love to know. You guys thoughts on this video and the five points guy covered. Also, if you have any tips or advice, you want to offer either freelancers or clients leave those in the comments section.

I would love to have a really thorough discussion about this. So let’s go ahead and get that going like this video. (English) How To Become A Logo Designer and Run A Graphic Design Business

Time to answer some questions: let’s go. This is a question coming in from grace Bozz from Paris or France. I believe so Bonjour grace since you posted on Twitter for an answer, your question, because I’m a French self-taught, graphic and web designer he has a very clear goal by 2017.

He wants to launch his own agency new ones, offer graphics and marketing, photography, print design, web design and branding services through his business. It says, although it may be better to be specific, I would like to offer multiple services related to the design and marketing industry. How kind of makes sure the client does not get saturated with information? You have a bunch of services etc, and you know we want to make sure it’s not confusing to your clients.

So the short answer is this: in the very beginning: when you’re marketing your company offer one thing and try to show as many examples of that thing as possible, because people are one information-rich and too time poor and that’s a mistake that I made personally. So I’m just trying to caution you with 20 years of experience, when you show to many things, it is very confusing over time you can start to expand services, you offer, if you really look at your core strengths whatever it is that you think you do really Well, offer that now the only other way that you can do this and offer more than one thing is to sell branding, because branding is the umbrella thing. But you got to make sure you have enough examples to support that. You need to stake a claim to say that you’re an expert at it and prove that claim.

Question number two. I like the business DNA and values to stand out. I was thinking about integrating a social cause to contribute to and I’m afraid people are getting confused that were a nonprofit organization. How to prevent this from happening. Social cost is a good thing to do, but again since you’re just starting out, I would not try to confuse people as to what it is that you’re trying to do. So. If you stand for some kind of like a battered women’s shelter kind of thing, you can do that and try to integrate that into the copy, but I would not hit somebody over the head with it. They should hire you first and foremost for your expertise.

They can feel good about doing it, knowing that you’re a community-based design firm, but I would not lead with that. You know what Aaron pointed out kind of rereading this question. You want to integrate your business DNA and your values together with the social cause. I think it’s fascinating that you’re, a graphics person or graphic design with a business background. Perhaps, some of the messaging that you talk about is with my business background.

I understand the bigger business problem and not just design, because we want to help you with your mission and your cost question number three grace you’re asking a local question that you want to have a logo and then separate logos for all the services, and I think You said something like six Adobe annexed, do something like this and I think they do that because they’re distinctly different product and they have a system and they are going to appeal to different people. So I guess the thing I’m thinking about is: why do you want to do that you’re making things more complicated than they need to be just making?

One great mark is hard just stick with that. The services aren’t separate products, but they actually support the parent brand. So in this case, I would recommend against that. The best way to get your questions answered is to send us a video. You could private message me on Facebook or Twitter or whatever else you can find me and send me a link to your specific question. See you guys next time, alright, don’t travel. You got enough of the cutaways, I think so, I’m a little self-control.

Okay, what we want to do is want to tell you about the struggle. Design got a call from Nicole a few minutes ago and she wanted to know if I’m coming back, because she needs me to review the work and see if she knows better for the client, but because I have personally seen it like. I said I’m not gon na, have percent of the client right waiting back for me at the office hour for designers, wanting feedback for a project and so a lot of times. People wonder you get your hands on to the design and the reality. Is the people ask that question have no idea how design firms or run they’re too stuck in need?

I need to make something mentality, that’s where they find values, but the problem is if you’re making it that you can’t manage. So you need to choose to manage, or you choose to make something and, if you’re, having any real volume of work in terms of new opportunities, you’re not going to have any time to make stuff. All I can do is to work with young designers transfer. My knowledge to them so that they can do the work, the level which I promise to the client. I could do

(English) How To Become An ONLINE PERSONAL STYLIST

Disculpa, pero esta entrada está disponible sólo en Inglés Estadounidense. For the sake of viewer convenience, the content is shown below in the alternative language. You may click the link to switch the active language.

Have you been trying to figure out how to become an online personal stylist, but you have no clue um how to get started and which tools and apps to use? Well, since I’ve been styling for the past 15 years, and that includes online styling, I will tell you what are my favorite tools and apps that will help you get started hi.

My name is bashar Richard and I help a spying stylist into the styling industry. If you want to learn how to become an online personal stylist and which styling tools and apps to use. So, let’s get started. I will tell you which tools and apps to use in order to style your clients online, and we’re going to start with creating services.

Now, what are the styling services now? It’S what you offer to your client as a stylus? Now the key is to create simple and straightforward services, so your client not only will have like a closet full of ready-to-go clothes, but they will also know how to shop. Where to shop and what silhouettes, what to work on them? So as a personal stylist, you can offer so many different services like vacation, styling event, styling clothes and detox shopping, spree, wedding, styling, etc. Right but since you’ll be doing it online, you want to keep it simple and straight forward, so we’re going to start with two services: a closer detox and an online styling. Now, since you’ll be doing it online, you need few tools to help. You do it.

So now the first one is called calendar now. Currently, it’s a simple easy to use, scheduling software so, instead of like emailing and texting um with your client back and forth about like when you’re available when your client is available, etc, you can simply set up an event and create available time to when you are Available for your client, so first of all, um the their basic like the basic version is free and if you are just starting, you really don’t need to upgrade to the paid option.

So let me show you exactly how to set up calendar correctly, so welcome to the calendar. So this is how the page looks like this is your calendar, and this is where your clients will be able to easily book your services and see your calendar. So you don’t have to really go back and forth with your client to decide when you’re going to be conducting your services. So let me walk you for exactly how to set it up from the back end of currently so we’re going to go to currently backend.

First things: first, you have to create an account if you haven’t done it yet it’s pretty easy, just follow instructions, and then, when you get to this page, we’re going to be creating new events, you’re going to click on a new event type now we’re going to Click on 101 all right and that’s where you can customize everything. So let’s say we’re gon na be doing closet. Detox. Okay, then add a location. So, this because it’s gon na happen on zoom, then you can put your description and that’s it we’re gon na click.

Next now this is where the magic happens. This is where you can customize and really edit your calendar. This is where you can decide when you’re available what times you’re available, what times you’re not available so click you have to click on each day and customize times. Okay, so when you do that, all you have to do is to click next and your calendar is ready to go. We have to save this and and your event is ready to go right. So then, you can do copy link, and this is how your calendar will look like pretty simple. So now, since you already have a calendar set up in order to conduct a closet detox, you need to have another tool to see your client and my favorite is zoom.

So zoom is a video communication tool that allows you to virtually set up conferences. So I recently conducted a closet, detox and with my client through zoom, and it was super easy. My client set up her laptop from her and I was able to see all her clothes what she had in her closet. We also throw away a lot of clothes. We kept a lot of clothes and we also organized all her closet properly. Now when it comes to online styling, there are few options you can choose from to create shoppable boards for your clients, so the first one is called flash mates. Its super easy to use.

All you have to do is to start creating full outfits from all the clothes and accessories that are available on their platform. So now, so you simply start browsing through looks you know your client will like so choose the price range. Then, a brand and a store and start pulling pieces that you know your client will love. Then you can organize everything nicely. So it looks professional for your client and then you are done. You can simply save the board and all looks are stoppable.

Now the other option is to simply use keynote if you’re on a mac or PowerPoint, if you’re on windows. Now I like this option simply because it allows me to browse through stores I like to shop art. Also, it’s super easy to use, so you don’t have to really learn another platform, so I simply start with doing research and start browsing through different stores and brands. I know my client will like then I simply download an image inside the keynote. I also copy and paste a link, so my client can shop for all the products I’m suggesting and then simply i organize all my looks into full outfits.

This is super, easy and really hassle free and you don’t have to like learning a new platform if you’re, not very tech savvy now, the last one and my personal favorite is called good picks now. Good picks is a platform designed for personal stylist and I love to use it. So let me show you exactly how to use that platform so welcome to good picks, one of my favorite platforms and um. This is a great platform for all personal stylists, so you will be able to easily create shoppable boards for your clients, just like that inside good picks, and now the best part of good picks is that they have affiliated contracts with a lot of brands and designers.

So if your clients will purchase some of the looks that you’re suggesting for them, you will get a small kick back on all those purchases. So first thing: what you want to do is to um they add the clipper and first it just to be able to clip all your products. So you’re going to add this extension here. Okay, the next part is going to be to start searching for your favorite looks for your clients. So, let’s say, if you like this dress, all you have to do is to click on this clipper and then all you have to do is to bring this dress into good pick so you’re going to click on this and then clip to my catalog.

Thats it and the product is successfully saved. Okay, so now, let’s start creating shopable boards, so inside good picks. What you want to do is to click on, create a shoppable board and start adding, looks into the board and creating full looks, do and voila. This is our shopaboo board; all you have to do is to save it and you are ready to go so this is our board. All you have to do now is to get in copy this link, and this is our shopable board, so you can send this now to your client and they will be able to click on each product and purchase it now, if you want to sign up with Good picks, I will leave a link in the description below if you sign up through this link, good picks will add 20 to your affiliated account when you become an active user in the end of your free trial.

Now the last part of becoming a stylist online is to build a website. There are many options out there. So, first of all, don’t think that you have to hire a web developer. Its completely unnecessary and super expensive, especially if you’re just studying there are many websites out there. That will allow you to do it yourself, so you can start with a first option, which is a square space.

Squarespace is a web builder tool that allows you to simply create a website. So first of all, all you have to do is to look at the pricing first, so you can choose to either pay per month or annually the next app. What you want to do is to choose a template that will be the closest to what your website will look like, and you have so many ready to go templates available. So you don’t have to really worry about starting from scratch and designing it all by yourself. All you have to do is to customize it change, colors, fonts and add your images and text now. Squarespace will also host your website for you, so you don’t really have to worry about it. Now. Another option is wix.com and it works in a very similar way. You have to pick a template and customize it according to your liking and add your pictures and both those options will work in a very similar way. So now you know exactly how to become an online personal stylist, which tools i use, which apps i use.

– If you’re reading this topic, it’s probably because you’re thinking about starting your own business, or maybe you’re not thinking about it, maybe you know you want to start your own business and you’re just not sure exactly what you need to do. So, I’m going to walk you through the eight steps that you need to follow in order to start your own business this year. Now before we even get to the first step, here’s what I want you to know. It’s better for you to start your business even if you’re not 100% confident that it’s the best idea or that’s it’s going to work out.

Its better start for a few reasons. First of all, the experience  you get from starting your own business is going to be invaluable, Whether the business succeeds or even if the business fails, you’re going to learn so much And then second, because if you don’t start, it you’re always going to be asking yourself What, if What if you have started that business, What sort of opportunities would  it have opened up for you? What will the experience have been like? So don’t have any regrets start your own business this year by following these eight easy steps In order to start your own business. The very first thing you need to do is just to decide what business you’re going to start Now. Maybe you’ve already done this, in which case you can skip ahead to the next step. But if you haven’t done it, then you might be in one of two different situations:

Maybe you’re just having trouble deciding between a few ideas that you have You’re, not sure which one would really be the best. If that’s the case, then check out this video right here for some advice on how to decide what business to start. On the other hand, if your problem is that you don’t have a good idea, then check out this video right here for some inspiration As you’re trying to decide what business to start. The main thing that you need to keep in mind is that it’s better to get started. Even if you don’t choose the perfect idea.

A few months from now you will be a few months into the process of building your business And you’ll be able to much better determine whether or not it is the right idea. At that point, you can always decide to stop building that business and pursue a different idea instead or you might have found the perfect business idea and be well on your way to turning it into a success, But either way by getting started sooner. You’Ll start making a lot of more progress than if you wait until you maybe some day find the perfect idea. Once you’ve decided what type of business you want to start, then the next thing you need to do is create a business plan. Many people start businesses without any sort of plan whatsoever, but your business is much more likely to succeed. If you start with a plan Writing your plan doesn’t have to take a whole lot of time, but will have a big impact If you’re not quite sure what your business plan should say or should include. Then here are a couple tips.

First of all, there are loads of free templates online that can get you started Also, every single month I host a free profit planning challenge that guides you step by step through the process of creating a profit plan for your business and a profit plan is just A specific type of business plan that is focused around how your business makes money and can really guide you in the process of building the business to increase your profits. However, you decide to go through the process of writing your business plan. Just remember that it doesn’t need to be war and peace. Your business plan can be short and sweet. Any plan is better than no plan at all and you’re actually going to be much more likely to finish your business plan and follow it. If it’s not too long Step number three is market research,

So I know this might sound a little bit complex, but it’s really simple. You just need to find some perspective customers and talk to them about the product that you’re considering creating or the service that you’re considering offering. Now. I also know that this might seem a little bit overwhelming difficult uncomfortable, and so you might think you’ll just skip this step, But please don’t do that because you need to find people to buy your product, whether you find them now or you find them after you Create the product and start the business, But if you find them now, then you’ll be able to start your business with a lot more confidence and it’ll be much more likely that your business will succeed. If you can’t find people that will buy your product, then your business isn’t going to make any money. So you need to find these people at some point And if you do it now, then you’ll be able to talk to them ahead of time and learn what they like about your product, what they don’t like about it, so that you can make it as good As possible and your business can be as successful as possible later on

Once you’ve done your market research and you’ve gotten some clear feedback from your perspective customers, then you can proceed to actually develop your product Now, depending on what type of product you’re creating this process will look very different Because on the one had you might be creating Some sort of physical product – And in that case you need to design the product and then you’ll need to have a prototype created and then probably a series of subsequent prototypes before you finally have the finished product and you have it produced in mass

On the other hand, if you’re creating a digital product like an online course, then you would need to plan out the course and then film the lessons for the course write, materials create worksheets and so on. And finally, if you are starting a service-based business, where you’re going to be providing a service to your customers, then you need to plan how your service is going to work. You need to develop service packages and figure out how you’re actually going to provide this service to your customers.

Step number five is to create a website for your business. Now, I’m not going to say a whole lot about this because I’m sure you’ve seen plenty of Squarespace commercials at this point And while I’m not sponsored by Squarespace, it really is as easy as they claim. Squarespace is a great option and there are options you can consider as well, such as Wix or Weebly. Most of them make the entire process of setting up your website really easy. You also could consider building your website with WordPress, which can create great results, but just be prepared to invest a lot more time into the process and especially into the process of learning how WordPress works. If you wan na go that route,

Once your website is up and running it’s time to start marketing your product, because you are ready to start making sales Now marketing is an absolutely essential part of the process because, unlike it’s commonly said, if you build a better mousetrap, the world will not beat a Path to your door, You have to get out there. You have to tell people about your business and about your product, or else they won’t know. It exists.

And if they don’t know it exists, they can’t buy it. So how do you market your business? Well, if you have plenty of time, but not very much money, then you might consider using networking or some type of content marketing Content. Marketing is just where you make videos or write articles They’re helpful to your customer to attract the people who will be interested in your product.

On the other hand, if you have a budget but you’re short on time, then instead you’ll want to look into paid advertising or maybe consider outsourcing the marketing of your business. Once your marketing starts really working, then you’ll start making sales and you’ll have customers that you need to serve. This is the seventh part of the process of building your business, and this is where things really start running. You have to move into the role of your business, that is the CEO of the business where you’re running the company You’re not just building a company from the ground up anymore. You have to show up for those customers week after week and deliver to them that product or service that they’ve purchased

Depending on what your business sells, this is gon na look pretty different. For example, if you are selling a physical product, then you’re going to need to continue to manufacture that product you’re going to need to ship the product out to your customers, and you might have to do some tech work to fix problems with the product. On the other hand, if you’re selling a digital product like a course like I mentioned before, then your work of serving your customers might all build down to just answering their questions about the product that you’re selling to them. And finally, if you start a service business, then you’re going to have to show up for your customers week after week and provide that service to them. So this is a very important thing to consider when right now, you are the very beginning stages of starting your business, because I’m assuming you haven’t been following along with these steps as you’ve been watching the video and you’re probably still at that very beginning phase of Deciding what business to start and just getting it off the ground?

So right now you can think about what kind of work you want to do later on. Do you want to be working with customers day after day after day, or do you wan na be able to sit behind your computer and answer their questions and help them out in that way? Or do you want to be shipping products every single week? Thats something you need to think about now, because in the future, that’s what running your business is really going to look like At this point in the process of your business will be up and running, and the final piece of the puzzle is really growing your team, so That you can scale your company In order to serve more customers, you’re going to need more help, So you’re going to need to hire some people to serve those customers and to run your business for you. Maybe you’ll hire customer service specialists. Maybe you’ll hire more people to actually create the product for you or maybe you’ll hire people to run other administrative parts of your business or to market your business for you to get more customers.

Of course, you might choose to not hire anyone at all. You might wan na keep things simple: keep your company small and remain a solopreneur forever and that’s totally fine. It’S a decision. You’Ll have to make at some point, though, All right, that’s pretty much all there is to it Follow those eight simple steps and you’ll be well on your way to building a successful, profitable business. Now, of course, it goes without saying that, even though these steps are pretty simple, they all do require a fair amount of work. You can expect to invest at least several weeks, if not several months, into the process of getting your business up and running and making money. So my biggest piece of advice for you as you’re getting this new venture off the ground, is to commit to being in it for the long haul from the very beginning. If you are impatient – and you don’t properly anticipate how long this whole process is going to take, then you’re, probably going to give up before you make your first dollar

You need to understand that this process takes time. It takes work and you need to prepare yourself mentally and emotionally and even physically from the very beginning. If you aren’t ready, then all of the different things that you need to do and the different things that hit you along the way are really gon na, throw you off track and your business might fail before it even gets off the ground. But I know you can do it If you really wan na start your own business then just know it’s not all that complicated Anyone can do it if they put their mind to it and they’re willing to do the work, If you’re really serious about starting your Own business, then I’d love to tell you a little bit about Startup Society.

(English) How do you price your SEO Services? SEO Pricing Model

Disculpa, pero esta entrada está disponible sólo en Inglés Estadounidense. For the sake of viewer convenience, the content is shown below in the alternative language. You may click the link to switch the active language.

So I want to talk about how do you price SEO services? Now, I have tried selling SEO services in the past and I think I have made a few mistakes. I have always tried selling SEO as a monthly retainer package at the fixed cost say $500 a month or $2000 a month. But over the last couple of days, I have been giving it a second thought because I have not been happy with the way things are priced. It just did not make sense to me because SEO realistically when you get down to a project, initially, upfront there is a lot more work than when there is, when you set things up and you got a process in place. But the first few months always there is a lot more planning, there is a lot more brainstorming, there is a lot more strategic direction that you need to set for you, your team for the client, you need a lot more research architecture, analysis, keyword page mapping etc.

So, there is a lot more work that is required upfront. So, I don’t know how many of you are doing this but I think SEO should be priced in two components. Initially, the first, so like what I have decided to map out a pricing strategy is like the first 3 months there will be an initial upfront investment which will be, for an example, we have a basic plan in which the initial upfront investment is $4000 which covers the first 3 months of work and then subsequently for the remainder of the 9 months of the contract it would monthly, say $500 or $750, or whatever pricing you might decide. But the idea that I am trying to sell out here is, I think when you are selling to clients, you have to communicate not only the value of SEO, that’s a given, you got to communicate that SEO does take time and you need to educate them on the potential ROI upside of how much they could gain from standing to rank for the terms that they are looking to rank for.

But you have to communicate that the pricing, if you force yourself into pricing it that way you’re going to be forced to also tell them why there is an initial upfront investment. And that I think, will be an easier way to sell because SEO does take time and the time that you have put in upfront, the thought process. If you actually list out all the things you need to do upfront and share with them, that okay I need to do a keyword research, I need to go through entire site, come up with a good plan for your site architecture. I think when you talk through all of them in layman’s language and make them think and make them realize that there is a lot of time and effort that goes upfront and that justifies the upfront costs, it makes more sense for you because you are incentivized to also close the deal and you are not unhappy like I use to be in the past that we close deals for nominal monthly amounts.

But if a client did not go through on the full 12 months contract, we would end up may be losing some money because we actually put in a lot more time initially. So, I think if you price my idea of at least pricing SEO services should be that you should have initial upfront investment and then subsequently break down into monthly, a monthly retainer which could be any amount that you choose depending on the level of service that you offer. So, yes that’s just my thought and I think SEO can be better sold and you are forced to justify the investments upfront because you’re going to have to communicate what you are doing, why you are doing it and actually makes you incentivize enough to actually spend a lot more time upfront because if SEO is well planned well thought out, well strategized, you are going to do much better job and if you get that much more money going to drive you to perform better.

So, yeah so that’s my thought process of how you should price SEO proposals – initial upfront investment and then subsequent monthly pricing, that’s something you should consider for your future client deals. I would also love to hear from you guys out there how do you price SEO services? Leave your comments out here. I’d love to know what works for you, what hasn’t for you because this is something that many people get wrong so I would love to know from your experience work what’s worked well for you and we all can learn from each other..

Disculpa, pero esta entrada está disponible sólo en Inglés Estadounidense. For the sake of viewer convenience, the content is shown below in the alternative language. You may click the link to switch the active language.

Welcome to How To Write a Business Plan To Start Your Own business. If you’re thinking of starting a business, you should know how to write a business plan. It is usually observed that, despite having a great startup idea, most businesses are not successful. According to common statistics, within the first five years of operations, ninety percent of businesses fail and of the remaining ten percent only one of the ten businesses last past, the first five years. So what makes some businesses fail while others prosper?

There may be several reasons, including, but not limited to or customer service, poor logistics and cost management and inadequate product. But the major reason is the lack of a business plan. Business plans help define goals and achieve them. If you take out time to set concrete but achievable goals and chart a plan to success, it can help you realize your dream and make your business flourish. I have compiled an all-inclusive list of areas that need to be considered while writing a business plan. These will help you in defining your goals and the path your business needs to take to achieve them.

Step. 1. Defying your vision when you start a business, you have a clear goal in mind. You know exactly what you wish to achieve with your business. However, after some time, the clarity of your vision will become blurred and you’ll. Forget some of your brilliant ideas. Writing down your vision for the company will help you to define it and, moreover, it will help your staff identify with the mission. All daily activities of the business can then be aligned with your vision for the business. This should be the first step of writing a business plan,

Step 2, set your goals and objectives for the business, never assume that your goals need to be small to accommodate your limitations. Think big clearly define your short-term goals, the ones that you wish to achieve within 12 months, mid term goals, those that will take between two to three years and long-term goals consider all aspects such as the revenue you wish to generate number of i’ll. Let you on the number of customers you need in your database, the target population and age groups, as well as the amount of passive income that needs to be generated in future.

Step 3, define your unique selling proposition. What is it about you? That is different from the crowd. Your unique selling point or USP will make you more attractive to potential customers. I was your product or service different from others in the parkin. It could be anything from additional services to personalized customer service. You can even offer them better. After sales warranty and support, while writing a business plan, you just need to highlight the extras that your customers are getting from you to make your business stand out.

Step 4 know your market. It often happens that you have a brilliant idea, but someone else has already started a business with a similar plan. This is a very common occurs, but you should not let this start how many petrol stations are there. Several businesses can provide the same service and still survive as the market place is huge and it can sustain multiple businesses. But for this you should know your market like the back of your hand, research and find out how many competitors you have what services they offer. What are the current and future trends of the industry? No, the larger picture. Are there certain benchmarks that can be used to gauge your business performance, such as gross turnover, profit margins, etc? Once you know the inner workings of the market, you can manipulate them in your favor. This is an important part of learning how to write a business plan.

Step 5 know your customer. This goes without saying. Customers are the most important part of any business and you should know the customers your business caters to today. Customers are spoiled for choice and they have thousands of options for every product. So if you want them to buy your product, you should know what your ideal customer ones. This is the reason why you need to define your target populations and research their habits. While writing a business plan. Understanding the motivation behind customers actions can make your business successful. You can focus on the areas that grab your customers interests and stop wasting energy on the rest, put yourself in their shoes and then think what would make them choose you each time write down the ideas and implement them

Step. 6 research, the demand for your business. You must have studied the demand and supply curve. Even if you have it, it stands to logic that there should be ample demand for your product find out the demands before investing in a new business. The basic rule is, the man should be more than supply. If this holds true for your market, your business will thrive, but if the demand is less than the supply, your business will eventually die out. So do your homework and gather as much information as you can. You can do a secondary search right from your home over the internet or your Public Library. You can even visit government offices for this information, but by far the best option is primary research, for you directly interact with your target audience to know their preferences and how ready they are to buy your product so hit the road and note down all the interesting Ideas you get to increase the demand, be smart and invest your life savings only after ascertaining that there is a demand for your product

Step 7 set your marketing goals, so you have finished the research and define your business vision. The next step. In writing. A business plan is setting out marketing goals these for those goals that define how your product would look like what it will cost, how you distribute it and the ways in which you can promote it. Most businesses do plan this, but they neglect the most important areas. You should set up measurable marketing goals that will help achieve your primary business objectives. Questions like the number of products yourself. What will be your product development strategy, your price margins, delivery methods and promotion plan should be duly considered. When you ask yourself these questions, they will help to find the goals for marketing your business

Step 8. Define your marketing strategy. Now that you have your marketing goals, you need a plan to achieve them. How many products you need to produce himself and at what profit margin so as to get your desired revenue? What will be your system of delivery and your coverage area? What will be the strategies to promote your business? The media that you will use be very specific, as these will translate to action and your ultimate success or failure plan for every venture ality, while writing a business plan. This is a very vital step of writing a business plan so acquaint yourself with it so that you can easily navigate through each

Step 9 take action and, of course, without action, all else is a waste. This is the most important part of writing a business plan. You can plan all you want, but unless you do the actual work and bring customers to your storefront, you won’t earn anything. Even if you find that, according to the business plan, your idea isn’t viable, don’t give up. There are thousands of other ideas out there and you can ultimately find one that suits you. If you wish to be wealthy, healthy and happy, there is a business waiting for you to grab your business plan will provide the direction and focus, but you will need to take the first step. Writing a business plan isn’t difficult. If you know what you should focus on, you now have an idea of what is important and how you should tackle the task of writing a business plan, and you are now better equipped to start a successful business start. Your research today jot down all those brilliant ideas, set your goals, the find a path and don’t let anyone stop you now. You know how to write a business plan and the manager for success is in your hands, make the best of it. Yeah yeah, yeah,

(English) Why You Should Hire a Virtual Assistant

Disculpa, pero esta entrada está disponible sólo en Inglés Estadounidense. For the sake of viewer convenience, the content is shown below in the alternative language. You may click the link to switch the active language.

We’Re talking about how to hire a Virtual Assistant here , As a busy web professional you’re, probably gon na, get to a point where you probably need to outsource some of the work in order to scale and grow your business right. You want to be large and in charge and on top of the world, but A hero, The hero, if you will, but you can’t be a hero alone And you might not need to hire someone full time, might not even have the finances for it, But a Virtual Assistant or a VA is a great way to do that. Where you have someone come in and do things part-time, Because just because you can do this task that task every task doesn’t mean that you should do it Yeah. I know it’s super hard to give ownership to someone else that you think you can do it the best right And you probably can

But if they can do it to a point where it’s at least 80 % of the quality of your work, you can focus on running your business versus working. Your business That’s crucial if you want to scale, Delegate, delegate, delegate, Delegate, delegate delegate, So I know one thing that I struggle with is just deciding. How do I know how do I know I’m ready for a virtual assistant. Do I need one yet And I think that can be difficult sometimes because, like you mentioned, I wan na handle all these tasks, because I know how to do it. I feel like I’m gon na, do the best job, But there are some great examples. I know my friend who’s a photographer where she does a lot of the shoot plans. Does the shoot? Does the shoot does a lot of editing, But for some of the editing in the retouching virtual Assistant, hand that over Yeah, I think the answer is for the most of you is right now, There’s lots of tasks that we are doing, but should we do like The administrative tasks that we’re doing repetitively

Yeah Those easier tasks where you can make sense to hand it off, so you can focus on those high value tasks like running your business thinking about growth strategies, marketing all these different things and pass off some work to your Virtual Assistant. One thing to keep in mind when it comes to hiring a virtual Assistant: They are not magicians, unlike Nealey, and I they can’t read your mind. So you need to be really clear about what you need done. What is that that you need help with Yeah? So I have a really good friend Carol with Rady WP and she has a Virtual Assistant And she gave me some pro tips when it comes to basically doing just this. The pre-work before actually hiring and using a VA

And that is basically start writing out all the tasks that you do throughout the day as mundane as it sounds, it helps basically to understand where you’re spending a lot of your time where you can kind of divvy up and assign out to that VA.. That’S good plan, If you notice you’re doing a bunch of tasks that are pretty simple but you’re constantly doing it. It’S a good chance. If VA, can do that, for you And, like you said, they’re, not magicians. You have to be very, very specific about the task that you give them Don’t just say: set up a dinner reservation in Midtown New York right Around 7:00 p.m and 8:00 p.m. What if What type of food do you like? What, if they’re, not open, Or what about all these different variables that they may not know be specific? With your asks, And I like your point about thinking, how do I spend my day, which is always just a good check in general?

How do you spend the day? How do you like? What are you doing? That was a question I wan na know. Well, you know start off my day with some emails, which I noticed with our email that they recently are sending an analytics to show you how you’re spending your time, Which has been helpful, because I didn’t realize how much time I was spending with correspondence on email. So that would be for me like. Oh my God, this is a big chunk of my day And some of it is pretty mindless. So I could delegate that to someone else and get the time back to put my brainpower and creative juices elsewhere to be more productive. Let’S talk about where to actually find a VA right Yeah. So I think the obvious answer is Google just search find VA on Google, But before we do that, I think it’s important to really connect with your network. Is there anyone that you know doing the similar work that you can hire right there There’s something goes a long way with that, like in person connection, Yes, Really getting your point across versus just hiring online

So if you’ve exhausted your resources, you’ve asked around. I asked Nealey, didn’t work and therefore no assistant, so I got ta go online. You can go to sites like udyamjob, Upwork and People By Hour to find a potential VA for you Yeah. Those are awesome sources. They specialize in hiring people in impoverished places around the world that helps support better their lives, support their families, helping their local economy. If you wan na kind of give back and feel better about hiring someone online and also helping out

So now I wanna talk about how to narrow down the field. One way to look at this is value your time and value their time. This is both important in order to get to the right candidate. Also, don’t be cheap Right, you get what you pay for. You also wan na kind of think of the tasks that you’re going to be giving that person. If they’re more complicated tasks that require experience or certain skills, you probably have to pay a little bit more to get the quality that you’re looking for Now, if they’re less mundane tasks, that’s like checking, email or setting appointments things like that. You don’t need someone as qualified, so that might be a little bit less, but at the end of the day you get what you pay for, Don’t go just for the cheapest option, go for the one that makes sense for your business.

So now you narrow down the search and you’re, probably wondering how do I hire this VA. Definitely recommend you get those two to three strong candidates Give them a task. Have them do the same task and see how they compare across the board Yeah and going with your friend with the photographer right? If that were me, and I was seeing their kind of touch up skills, I would give them the same photo with my specific requirements and then see what they do and then use that as part of their resume of their skill set to see if they meet. My requirements, If so you’re hired After you’ve hired a VA congrats

Be very clear with your expectations: that’s our pro tip. Remember they’re, not mind reader’s they’re, not magicians, So if they are checking your email, when are they doing it from 8:00 a.m, to 10:00 a.m? 8:00 a.m to 9:00 a.m. Be really clear about that. This also translates really well in your social life as well Couple other pro tips. I highly recommend recording little videos, whether it’s on basic tasks or things like that and use Loom.com to do it. Just a quick little browser plugin That way, instead of just sending an email or call them on the phone, they have that to go back and look at if they get stuck or lost or if you end up getting a new VA, you don’t have to start That process all over

And then, lastly, if the VA, isn’t working out, they’re, just not completing the tasks on time or to your liking, Don’t be afraid to cut the cord Nothing’s personal, it’s just business. There are plenty of other VAs out there and they may be better suited for a different business owner All right, you’re ready to go hire your VA. I’M super excited for you. You’Re gon na get so much done and accomplished with your business.
